Hi there
I use flash but once in awhile.

I have a PW TT5 on my camera, and an PW TT5 on Canon Flash 600

I use mode ETTL
Why do I get this result?
Is there any setting in my camera I forget to put on? or else?

thank you

What camera model and what were the camera settings - shutter speed, ISO, aperture, etc. for this image? Are the PocketWizards up to the latest revision? It looks like a shutter speed - flash sync issue.

Your shutter is far too fast for the PW to sync with. I have never gone over 1/200 sec with flash.

It certainly looks like over x-sync, but the exif says 1/30s shutter speed.

If correct, it's a mystery.

yes and exif says ISO 40. f2.2, shuuter spped 1/30 sec
that doesn't make sense.

Does the 600EX -RT work with the 1 DX II ?
With the 1Dx, I had no issues at all.

Exif also shows "flash did not fire...compulsory flash". Either the Exif is screwy or the camera is screwy. But I have found that my Fuji FZ200 repo9rts totally screwy exif on FM. Unless it actually does have a 57,000 MM lens.

What is with all the little squares? At first I thought it was tile, but they are not level with the counter, and all over the photo. I am beginning to think a write failure.

the photo you see is not the RAW file. It was taken with my IPhone directly from the camera back screen.
So don't bother about the quality.
I was wondering why photos taken with this flash were similar to that.

Also, I realised that the flash 600-EX-RT needs the last firmware.
It could help. I will make some tests with the latest firmware.

thank for your comments.

You need to verify the shutter speed of the actual image. The EXIF that was referred to earlier was for your iPhone image of your rear screen. Find the actual RAW or Jpeg that the camera took, and see what the shutter speed is. You need to set a speed that is at or below the maximum sync speed of the particular camera model. If the actual shutter speed was low enough, post the actual shot with its details, and further help can be provided.

Hi Roland; yes you're right. That is my IPhone Image exif.
I will come back with the image exif...
