Hi, I have a Gitzo Tripod and I never used it with a column. I always used it with a Markins base plate and ballhead. I tried to attach the head to the column but I think I need an adapter. Does anyone knows if the 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 stud is what I need to make it work? Is there anything else I would need?
I’ve included some pictures of the column and Gitzo plate in question.

When I replaced my GT2530 column, etc. with the Markins TH-200 spider in 2013, it consisted of about 13 pieces. The top of the tube you have showing looks like maybe it should be on the bottom. Perhaps you can find the Gitzo diagram? I don't know where my center column is, or I would figure it out. I really like the TH200 for stability and weight reduction, but I already had the tripod.
