A camera that doesn't use film No thanks.
Good comeback.
Bit rather than halite is different but the fundamental action is the same. With my old Minolta, I set my ASA (film choice), my shutter speed, and my aperture all based on a handheld light meter. Regardless of the change in media, consolidating all those functions into one tight interface was - for me - a bigger break thru. Also being able to change ASA (now ISO) on the fly was an enormous advantage. Without a doubt an electronic image is universes more malleable. This does go to the film->digital change. It's a big reason I finally moved.
My protest is against an "innovation" that reduces my flexibility. This looks like some sort of device to enhance video. If I want to shoot video, I get a camcorder. I'm shooting images - not recording flow.
This isn't a knock on video. Recording motion in time is amazing. Still, if I seek mastery of anything, it requires focus and dedication. Catching that burst in time/space is - for me - profoundly consuming.
