Fall is in the air here in the North East.
I went up to Harriman State Park to see how things were coming along.
Not much yet but a few isolated pockets here and there.
Some late day reflective color behind fall water lilies.
All comments welcome and thanks for viewing regards,

Hmm so still nothing at Harriman? Normally the main roads across, especially the best spots with Sugar Maples would be total peak today at the latest. (looking at the reflections it looks like the yellow on tree is peak though? just an illusion and an odd tree while most are not colorful?)
But I have to say in my part of northern NJ it's the dingiest looking fall I can ever remember.
I think the coldest, wettest August that I can ever recall, which got stuff turning insanely early and then followed by a total flip with the driest, hottest September I can recall just baked the leaves, the early stuff dried and fell and the late stuff, hard to say, many areas are not looking good. I was hoping at least Harriman might be rich since they have held on in years past when other areas got dingy.
So I guess today or tomorrow wouldn't be worth the drive up there yet? Does it look like it will ever turn nicely this year or probably nothing much?
