p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Southern African Bush Landscapes (warning: some animals) | |
I took some time for some landscapes while my wife and I were in the bush seeing all the magnificent animals. Here are some of my favorites:
1. Animals at watering hole, in Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park.
I love how this illustrates so well the abundance of life out there, especially near a watering hole. There are lots of birds of various types; impala, baboons, and a jackal. There were even crocodiles, but not in this frame.

2. Elephants at a watering hole at sunset; Hwange
This probably was my favorite moment of the entire trip; well over a hundred elephants serially trooped to the watering hole as the sun went down, drank, and left, making room for the next bunch. Awesome thing to witness!

3. The night sky in Hwange was amazing!

4. Sunset at Botswana's Chobe National Park. There weren't a lot of clouds helping me out, but it's still highly evocative of the place.

5. Botwsana's Okavango Delta from the air

6. A piece of the Okavango Delta from the ground, complete with a couple of lions, and a vulture in a tree, to spice it up.
