..Thanks for posting Boris, it actually helps me a lot..
..Are you glad you switched to Sony? I am pretty confident and excited. I switched due to the weight primarily.
..L21 is a must for me then I am realizing that I need a plan even though I am going to get just one more lens for now. I am liking all the Loxia.
..I only want/need one AF and while the 55 1.8 is probably a no brainer, but the Loxia is drawing me. I just sold my Zeiss 135 (that and the Z21 were the best two lenses I have used). Why wouldn't I duplicate it. Funny, today I was thinking the Batis 135 should be my one AF... It solves a lot of things for me, it is just expensive. I know that I would love it and the weight is not too bad.
.. So my plan may be L21, L50 (or the Voig-65), and the Batis 135 ... I do not think I would have any issue with the 50-135 gap at all. The priority for a 4th may be the 35 range.
.. Did you consider the V65? vs the L50, or since it is new I think, it may not have been out...Show more →
Yes I'm glad I switched to Sony, but mainly due to massive reduction of size and weight. I still think the ergonomics and the DR (especially the usuability of overexposed highlights) of the D800E were slightly better. But on the other side MF is much easier with the EVF and less vibration due to no mirror is another advantage of the Sony.
The Voigtländer 65 was not available when I switched, but it sounds like a great lens. If I would start again now, I would probably go L21, CV65, B135 for a three lens combo and B18, L21, L35, CV65, B135 for a 5 lens combo.
The main difference between CV65 and L50 is probably the performance at f/2-f/2.8 (and of course the much shorter MFD of the CV). At f/4 the IQ of the L50 is extremely good and I can't imagine that the CV65 could be much better. I'm still thinking about getting the CV65, but I really like the L50 and owning both lenses makes no sense.
