I promise you, if you shoot this image in direct sunlight, you will not see any noise at all.

Honestly, I have to agree with the above poster.

And frankly, I cannot see the noise anyway. I mean, it is insignificant IMHO.

You'll be alright

Hopefully cause I'm stressing out, wondering if my camera is defected or something.

You have to be joking. Take the same photo at the same time with the same settings on a different camera and show us that it has less noise. Try and do it without noisy raindrops on the door.

I agree with the others you need to worry about something that is worth worrying about. Just go take pictures.

I see some minor fringing in a couple typical areas, but no discernible "noise" anomalies...

Does the raw NEF file look the same as the converted DNG?

Cheers

Nothing to worry about. Images taken with any camera when zoomed in 300-600% will show some noise at dark areas. if you don't see noise at 100% which you are not, you are golden.

I agree with the posters that have said that it's defective, but I disagree about where to send it. I can give it a loving home on a farm, where it will be able to run in its waning years, it's clearly dying. Do the humane thing.
