How do you get so close Brian? If I get within 5 ft, they are flitting off.

Thanks all for the comments - appreciated.

Douglas I think this butterfly was particularly relaxed but I find that both butterflies and dragonflies will get used to you being there if you move in slowly taking photographs as you go. As with all insects if they are actively feeding then they tend to be easier to move in on.
