On a mountain biking trip to Cloudcroft in New Mexico's Lincoln National Forest (ride at your own risk, the trails are like corduroy roads), I made a side trip to White Sands to catch the moonrise and sunset. I didn't see it coming (doh) so all I had was my X-T2 and 18-55mm. I arrived at 6pm with 2.5hrs til closing, which meant I had just enough time to hike the 5mi Alkali Flats trail. I got lucky with the full moon rising before the light disappeared, but I was unlucky to come on the day after a fire started a few miles away, and a blanket of smoke obscured the moon until there was too little light on the ground to make anything of it. Still, the diffusion washed all the colors into gentle pastels, and I like what I got.
I've processed and sequenced them three different ways - which set works best? Let me know.
