p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · White Sands, NM

On a mountain biking trip to Cloudcroft in New Mexico's Lincoln National Forest (ride at your own risk, the trails are like corduroy roads), I made a side trip to White Sands to catch the moonrise and sunset. I didn't see it coming (doh) so all I had was my X-T2 and 18-55mm. I arrived at 6pm with 2.5hrs til closing, which meant I had just enough time to hike the 5mi Alkali Flats trail. I got lucky with the full moon rising before the light disappeared, but I was unlucky to come on the day after a fire started a few miles away, and a blanket of smoke obscured the moon until there was too little light on the ground to make anything of it. Still, the diffusion washed all the colors into gentle pastels, and I like what I got.

I've processed and sequenced them three different ways - which set works best? Let me know.

I like the first set best, especially the right side panel.

I think your white frames are detracting from your really bright images. Wonderful images here though, thank you for sharing. 1st color set does it for me, I would like to see the image on the far left a bit closer and darker as I had a hard time seeing contrast between the sand and sky.

A nice selection of image presentation. Personally, I like the far right image in set #1. I might try using that image and presenting it three ways. For example. Use the image as presented, add a B&W, then it's up to you. Anyways,a nice set of images from a subject that can be a challenge.

The B&W's are really nice!
But the sutleness of colors in the first one is just amazing!
Absolutely my favorite here !

All three sets are beautiful. They are in the order that I would pick them, first to third. Regardless they are all beautiful.

Killer freaking series. Prefer 1&2 here. Super great idea and execution.
