p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Canon FD lens

I have just acquired a couple of canon FD bodies, T90 and F1. Looking for landscape lens suggestions . I really am partial to the T90, because of aperture priority. If anyone feels inclined to suggest a three lens kit, all the better. I am a Nikon shooter but really love all old cameras. I already have a 28 2.8 and 50 1.8

I used to use T90's and F1's back when I shot for newspapers. I really liked the ergonomics and light weight of the T90, and the F1 was Canon's pro film body. If you want to shoot landscapes, it's hard to beat a 16-35 f/4L IS. Just a superb pro lens.

I would combine it with one of Canon's 70-200 lenses as a second lens. Canon's zooms are really excellent and I'm kinda a fanboy.

Finally, a 24-70 for 24-105 would make an excellent third lens.

Which was my thought, but I was too lazy to write a reply.

Nope the EF's won't work. This is what pissed Canon people off years ago but made FD's very affordable which is why I think I will pick up the 17 and the 20. The 17's a little slow at f4, but it could be fun in the right situation. I'll add a 100 and call it a day. Well for the right price I may throw in a 35.

Oh! Crud. I completely forgot about the modern lens compatibility. Thanks.

The Canon 20/2.8 FD lens is a good one and very suitable for wide angle shots with foreground elements in it. I used it both on my Canon FTb in the past and later with adapter on my A7R. The 20-28-50 should be a sufficient landscape setup especially when you are used to shoot wider more often than tele.

A bit older shot taken with A7R and 20/2.8 FD lens:
