There are so many lens changing contraptions out there, do you use one or have you come up with a easier way or old school way of changing lenses ?

Just when we all thought that vests were as dorky as it could get - I see I was wrong.

But to answer your question, my favorite way to change lenses is to lay down on a divan and have a brunette in spandex take my camera and change the lens for me, while four others gently cool me off by waving palm fronds and asking if I'd like another beer.

Any other way just doesn't do "it" anymore.

I live under a rock, apparently...never heard of any of these. Just imagine, I change lenses by hand - how primitive!

The 3-way lens holder/changer was posted previously. I cannot find the original thread by phone.

Grab new lens, take off lens cap, take off end cap, hold both lenses at once
Put new lens on, put end cap on old lens, put lens cap on old lens, return to bag......... have fun with that and the rocks

With each new lens I buy a special lens cap that means I never have to deal with lens changes. This special cap is made by Nikon. I believe it is called the D850.

Old school to the point you have to say it twice?

Old school but with the help of my Peak Design Sling. If I know that I'm going to want different lenses often I just carry two cameras.

If he misses a shot, one of the ladies is perfectly willing to get him a fine single malt scotch.

So if you have 20 lenses, you have 20 cameras? How do you get that on the aircraft?

Me too. I'm not really clear on how any of these clever do-dah's actually speed up lens changing. You've still got to unscrew it from the camera and put another one on...

But your having to hold both lenses at once and risk dropping one of them, you can't avoid taking a lens off your camera no matter what, but rock on dude

Remove lens. Place in Domke bag my wife bought me in 1983 (Durable, thy name is Domke). Grab replacement lens. Install it.

You forgot to mention having to add the time removing the end cap from new lens then replacing it on the old lens, no lose of time with these

Ditto. I pick up / set down stuff on a dedicated spot on my camera bag. Never imagined doing it any other way, actually.
