This is one of the bracket fungi with rather linear pores, through which the spores are shed. Rubbing or scratching the pores produces a pink or red colour, whence the common name. This one was found a few days ago, in a woodland, mainly of sweet chestnut trees.

EM-1, Oshiro 2:1 60mm mcaro, triple flash.

The stereo is crosseye.

The cap shot is slightly clipped but it was the sharpest one.

Someone elsewhere wanted to see what a close-up would do as an abstract. I have cropped and processed as high contrast B/W.

I don't think it does much for me but it has some merit.
