look like sea anemones ?? but also look like terrestrial shots...

I will therefore guess it is tropical plant in an English Greenhouse - maybe the Royal Bot. Gardens

Thanks for taking part, everyone.

Brianís was the closest guess. The flowers are borne at the bases of the tubercules, not on their tips. What looks like pollen is something else, fine wooly material of plant origin.
