Thanks for looking. Experimenting with opening up the aperture and stacking a few for a better looking background. The 14 rounded blades on the Laowa 60 do render a nice background.

Sometimes really-close images get old and over-done.

I like the idea of mixing things up by introducing images with more background in there, as you have done, to give more context/bokeh ... so long as it works.

That said, in this case I think there's a little too much 'space.'

More importantly, I think a vertical composition would have worked better. Maybe just a little closer, but imho a vertical composition would have matched the shape of the subject far better than this horizontal one.

That's my $0.02

Agreed. I like the wider view as something different. The vertical crop really makes it, in my opinion.
