Its a pretty wide eye but no need for us on the east coast to leave as long as it stays along the west side of the state. It will be nasty here but tolerable as was Matthew a year ago.

Skies in Vero Beach starting to move counter clockwise. Hurricanes spin in that direction. We are on the very edge of the outer bands now.

Across the Keys now. It takes over 6 hours to drive to Key West from here and we are still experiencing rain and high winds. That shows you how wide this thing is.

That thing is huge. Some of my fondest memories near Orlando was at Gatorland. In the back area was the first time I had shot any exotic birds. Well exotic to me. Got some great pictures of an Anhinga in Celebration near Kissimmee. I had my 30D and I remember it was the first time I started gaining some confidence in shooting wildlife. I realize there is a lot more a stake than Gatorland. It is tough to watch as it was in Texas when you think about what people lose.

And you are still around.
My brother in Houston was very fortunate. 4 feet of water in the backyard literally an inch from entering his home. His daughter & husband, also in Houston & expecting second child in January, lost everything whilst having moved in to ride out the storm.
He also owns properties in Florida & Barbados & awaits news on those.
All the best for the future to you & other affected peoples wherever they may be.
