Hudson, NY. A famous resident I'm told.

Your comments and critiques welcome.

And I thought that you would only see something like this out here in the land of fruits and nuts.

When I first moved here, was dumbstruck by the number of people I saw with some kind of bird perched on their shoulder, in almost all cases, w/o any leash or restraint.

Beautiful Moluccan cockatoo!! They are gorgeous, sweet and intelligent creatures. The larger cockatoos are PRETTY much akin to an infant.

Technically, looks underexposed and overly contrasty - most noticeably in the woman's hair/dress. Highlights are looking blown around the head/face.

Love the variety of subjects that you capture, Steve - looking forward to your coffee table book of Americana.

Even with clipped wings it's still a pretty daft idea to bring a parrot out unrestrained.

Some people!

Ouch, those claws look sharp. Image looks pretty darn good to me.

Thanks Ben!

What are you up to lately? Any excursions coming up now that summer is ending and the crowds will be diminishing?

Hi Steve:

No more plans this year, I am the primary caregiver for my wife and that may keep me near home. Probably get up in the local hills for fall color. Hard to tell at this point.
