That kind of fast photography I Ieave to them young uns, such as Lan lad.

At my age I prefer slow food as well as slow shooting with slow gears.

Yes. My posts are often constructed for the benefit of others who may be wondering too - often the casual reader and non-members. Hence the seeming naivety in many of my threads or posts. But thanks anyway for being patronising.

Nobody else was wondering because they read his reply before you posted your question:

That’s correct. Some people don’t respect © and I don’t have time to track them.

And signifies humor, not patronization.

Sorry for being overly sensitive. Thought the OP might like to clarify.

Thanks.

No problem. The OP did clarify.

This is what serious shutter failure looks like:

A landmark discovery made with Canon gear during the recent astrological observation by yours truly.

Are some posters attempt to max out the size of the FM page capacity?

Yes. Especially in view of viewers using Mobile devices, which is a waste of time for perusing this type of photos.

"That kind of fast photography I Ieave to them young uns, such as Lan lad. "

I'm sure your capable hands can do it.

PetKal wrote: "What do you mean? On my 28" 5k monitor even this 1800 pix wide picture looks modestly sized.”

Looking & wondering about big photos, I asked what’s the max size allowable? It seems that many viewers use modest size monitors, even the hand-held devices.
If your 28” monitor has wheels and you can hand-hold it, than it qualifies as a mobile, hand-held device which explains your preference.

I’m trying to post bird images close to their real-life size. Posters of big Heron photos shouldn’t despair, but get innovative. They can chop the photo into pieces and post them in sequence, a presentation by instalments. This wouldn’t create a precedent since many of us remember the infamous posting of the Half Bird picture.
This example shows that exaggeration doesn’t make sense:

Warning!!! Viewers may peruse this photo at their own risk since.
I’ll will not accept any responsibilities for possible development of nightmares, phobias or any other psychosomatic problems.

FM has a Mobile version which most phones and tablets will default to. On the mobile version the pictures should be resized to fit the screen automatically. If your mobile device is displaying the full version of FM then you can scroll to the bottom of the page and select the mobile friendly version. Then even life-size GBH postings fit the screen

Thanks. Mobile optimization is puzzling. If life-size GBH fit the Mobile screens it must be a very tight fit. I’d suggest a Plasma monitor, available up to 70”. Users of the 800 mm lenses may consider it a portable screen.

On smaller screens the Green Herons fit perfectly and are more interesting than the GGH (Great Grey Herons) posted here. I rarely see a true GBH and it is always a treat.

Another puzzle. I noticed loss of quality of posted photos. It may be due to resizing.
The FM forum displays the above pict bigger, at 17.5", while on my monitor it is 15".
