Okay, it's settled. I'm getting the 60 Macro.....just kidding In addition to the "semi-trinity" zoom lenses, I'm going to get the 16/1.4 and the 56/1.2. Even though both are redundant in the 16-140 (or rather, 24-210) range of the zooms, I just love the rendering of these speedy primes, so they must go in my bag!

Thank you all for chiming in with your thoughts and suggestions!

So, like most of us, probably, I've run about a hundred different scenarios through my cluttered mind and have come up with....ugh. I took the XT2 and the 16-55 & 50-140 to Catalina Island this past Saturday and I'm impressed with the IQ, Color and Detail I came away with, so I think I'm going to get the 10-24 to complete the Fuji Trinity and wait until I see some real world examples of the forthcoming 80/2.8. The truth is, even with the Canon 85L, I rarely used 1.2, so it seems like wasted speed to get the 56/1.2 at this point. In the future? Who knows. Anyway, I've attached a couple of shots, one from the 16-55 and one from the 50-140....

Thanks again for all the comments and discussions!

Greg,

Isn't it fun juggling in your head what lens to bring to an event or outing

In most cases I can really get away with a 10-24mm and 56mm. The 55-200 I have is nice but i'm not always thrilled about the contrasty bokeh.

I just try to fill in what I need with primes but try to cover my basis with fast zooms. This is why I sometimes struggle with the slow f/4 10-24mm UWA. For outdoor photography f/4 is fine.

Just have fun and get pleasure with fuji
