I like this, this is a really well done family portrait. My only criticism would be the crease in the back drop, where it's at really draws the eye though to be fair the average person would probably never notice.

A lovely family portrait. Dad looks super proud as he should be.
Get rid of the crease in the background (easy enough to do) and it will be perfect.

Beautiful portrait, good looking family and love the dog! If there is one suggestion I am allowed to provide, lift the shadows in the hair just a bit (or add a bit of hair light of some sort). That should make it a great picture.

Just curious as to what lighting you used? Looking at the catch lights, a softbox on the left? Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I used a 60 inch octobox with AB 800 as the main light on the left of the camera and a Rectangular softbox with AB400 straight at the subject behind the camera for fill. Removed the 2nd catch light from this rectangular soft box in PP. Fill light was at F4 and the main was at F8.

Lovey image. May I ask what backdrop that is (brand, color, catalog #)?

I bought this probably about 8 years ago and don't remember where I bought it from. But this one is very close to what I have.
