I was about to enter my greenhouse when I saw this slug dangling from a thread. I had seen this before and knew that it would reach the ground within minutes.
The light was far from good. it was a sunny day but the greenhouse and trees blocked the direct sun from the south and west. I was facing west. With the slug acting rather like a pendulum, when it was not rotating on the axis of the thread of mucus, I had to use wider apertures to avoid motion blur. (It didn't help that the viewfinder diopter adjustment was way out of focus and everything was blurred, urging me to choose an exceptionally, and unnecessary, high ISO).
This is the only image I am reasonably happy with.
