Without being asked, this guy stood fairly still for 5 seconds while concentrating on his job.

Marysville Balloon Festival Saturday night.

I really like this.

I do have one comment. I am usually not big on cloning things out, but I think I would take out what looks to be an airplane in the sky over his head.

Essentially two elements dominate: man and balloon working together to effect a remarkable scene.

Nice shot. I really don't understand how they initiate this process without burning everything to a crisp!

Neat, difficult to imagine everything remained still for 5 seconds!

Thanks guys! I just got home from a long drive from Tennessee. The one thing I learned on the trip is, no one will ever capture a total eclipse image that comes close to the real thing. It was truly a moving experience for me. I hope some of you also had the chance to see the magic.

Cheers
Dale

Jim, it is pretty amazing. The time I did a balloon ride, they used a huge fan to blow air into it, enough to partially inflate and open the large hole. They kicked up the fire after that. Agree it must take a lot of skill.

To the OP... It's a wonderful image. I'm betting you were one of the thousands near Nashville for the eclipse. I live just a few miles south and experienced it from the parking lot at work. We had totality for about a minute.
