I've been using these flashes for a while now and have noticed that the hotshoe connectors loosen after a bit of usage. I've actually had the flash unit separate from the base during a wedding pretty much destroying the flash.

I've got about 10 of these flashes....and the bases are loose on 3 or 4 of them now.

Has anyone else seen this?

Any idea on how to fix this?

Not sure if imbeded video works, but here's a clip of what I'm talking about...

Update: I posted this in a Godox FB group. Apparently this is quite common. It looks like I need to either replace the bases...or find and tighten some loose screws.

Tighten the screws and put a drop of superglue, nail polish or locktite on them.
They won't come loose again. Only need to go through them and fix them once and they will be good forever.

I have always carried a set of small screwdrivers with me. This has happened a few times and it's a super easy fix as others said above

Awesome...thanks guys! I unscrewed the bases and tightened the screws inside....and they're not wobbly anymore. Will order some locktite and do this again.

I had something similar i believe. When it became loose, i disassebled the hot shoe part, there are little screws which were loose inside. I tightened them and secured with pattex glue as a prevention... from that time its ok

Are you talking about the four screws you can see on the base?

Tomrock....yes....and no.

You need to unscrew the 4 screws to open the base....after you open the base, you'll see 4 smaller screws going the other way into the hotshoe assembly.

These are the 4 screws you need to tighten.

I basically just disassemble these when new and apply locktite to the hot shoe screws from the start.
