I was sent a panoramic image shot on an iPhone. It's terribly distorted (curved in a semi-circle). I only have LR and Elements to work with. Is there any way to correct this image with either editor or a free one?

Try Snapseed (free app from Google)
It has a transform and also an expand feature that might work.

I doesn't appear that there's a Mac version available.

See if you can get hold of the individual photos that went into making the panorama. Then you can put them together yourself. PTgui lets you fix that curvature issue during creation of the panorama but I don't think it works on an already finished panorama. Still, it could be worth checking.

I don't believe an iPhone stores the individual images for a panorama - only the final product.

don't quite know what your expecting to get from it . LR will allow you to do some adjustments but it only goes so far

have a play with the lens correction and transform sections in develop

I do a few Pano's with my iPhone . and yep most of the time they look pretty iffy on a larger screen . but then its from a bloody cell phone . not from a tripod mounted camera with a pano head

Ken, Snapseed works on iOS and android. Check the app store if you're interested.

Did I download the wrong Snapped app? When running on iPad, options are Book a Shoot, Studio Rental & More.
More = Profile, Hub & Testimonies.
