p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Down the hatch it goes - Cormorant feeding on fish | |
I had my lens pointed at a juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron that was hiding in a tree overhanging a lake. I was waiting for it to show itself and make a dash to its nest. But out of the corner of my eye, I saw this cormorant surface on my right with a fish in its mouth. I had barely a second to swivel and focus on it while it swished the fish into its mouth, gulped it down in a flash and flew away.
