I have a GFX in the mail, which I'd like to pair up with my TS-E 17mm f/4, and am looking for users who have experience with either the Cambo or Kipon EF to GF mount adapters (or any other EF to GF mount adapter that offers aperture control). Anyone here have first hand experience with either of these adapters? Or know where I can find a review?

I don't think the Kipon allows aperture control or at least I haven't seen one that does. I believe the Cambo is the only one that allows aperture control. You can buy a cheap EF camera to control aperture or red rock micro has a small device that will control the aperture as well, but to use these you have to unmount the lens whenever you want to change the aperture. The Cambo is definitely a more elegant but probably more expensive option. I hope they eventually come out with one for Nikon E lenses as well, but so far they only make the Canon one.

Kipon makes an adapter that offers aperture control of EF lenses with the GFX.
I have it and have been using it for a couple of weeks on jobs.
Works well and is substantially more economical than the Cambo alternative, which I thought about purchasing.

Hard to justify the investment for the Cambo for just aperture control. The Kipon is much more reasonable and works.

You need to join the very active GFX Facebook page. There are a lot of samples of the 17 TS-E, especially with the new Kipon. I have that adapter on order.

Thanks for pointing this out. I had only seen the non-electronic ones.

Thank you for the tip on the GFX facebook page, I'll check it out.

I like the Kipon because there's less play between the camera+adapter and adapter+lens but all others work well. I believe currently Adorama has a special deal where the Kipon EF-GFX is only $100 with free shipping to the USA.

The one I've been looking at is the Kipon EF-GFX E that offers electronic aperture control on the adapter:

http://www.adorama.com/kaegfxef.html

The standard adapter lacks electronics so you would either need a lens with a manually controlled aperture or you are stuck shooting wide open.

Have you used this adapter with the 100-400 II or the 11-24 with any success?

Has anyone used this adapter with the EF 100-400 II or EF 11-24?

I have the Kipon adapter w/ aperture control on order and it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I bought it for use with the 17mm f/4 tilt-shift but am planning to test it with all of my EF glass, which includes an EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 IS II (unfortunately I don't own or have easy access to a 11-24mm f/4). I'll post results in the "Adapting Lenses to the Fuji GFX - 50S" thread in the Fuji forum sometime in the next week or so.
