Can this evil couple actually pay this much though?

Like I said on the other thread, if things are in the US like they are here, the shooter will be lucky to see a cent. If they do enforce it, they will never own their own home or have any luxuries in life. Time they finished paying that off they would be too old to get a home loan.

Figure out what even $1M is over 30 years with interest.

Doubt they will see any money but at maybe her business will pick back up. I hope so. I also hope that they stay on top of it an maybe get future earnings? I wonder if you can file bankruptcy and dissolve that debt?

If she is a professional blogger I wold be surprised if she did not have insurance for this eventuality.

Insurance may potentially cover some of the claims, if the couple had applicable coverage. Otherwise, my guess is that all or part of the judgment could be dischargeable under bankruptcy. I'd like to know if the verdict included a punitive award -- punitives (and some other conduct such as fraud) aren't generally dischargeable under bankruptcy (and are not covered by insurance) -- so the photographer may chase her around for years with judgment liens, etc. in an attempt to collect.
