p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Comparison of Two Macro Lenses: Coprinopsis lagopus | |
I have two lenses which I use a great deal, for daily macro shoots:
Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro ED.
This has a maximum magnification of 1:2 (FF), giving a FOV 35mm wide on m4/3.
It has full-aperture focusing and AF.
Oshiro 2:1 60mm f2.8 LD UNC macro
This has a maximum magnification of 2:1 (FF), giving a FOV ca 8mm wide on m4/3.
The lens is fully manual.
In this exercise both were set to the 35mm FOV and at f11 and 1/125 second (Olympus) or 1/160 (Oshiro)* at ISO 400. Bright daylight was the illumination.
Thin, passing clouds varied the intensity and WB.
I used my Olympus EM-1, hand-held. All images were shot as RAW files and have had identical processing.
I have included some crosseye stereos.
The first image is from the Olympus and the second is from the Oshiro. The other Oshiro image is the last stereo. All other images are from the Olympus.
