I was looking for slime moulds to photograph when I came across a colony (3-4 larvae) living on top of this toothed crust fungus (probably Phlebia uda).
They have a network of diaphanous slime trails and more extensive, two-dimensional structures on top of the teeth. In one place the part behind the larva is iridescent. The larvae frequently curved their heads violently side to side. This (images 3 & 4) seems to have been some kind of manipulation of the slime.
EM-1, Oshiro 2:1 50mm macro, x2TC, triple flash, hand-held.
The stereo is crosseye.
