Not the best day to shot...but hey....The first image is from "Fan Tan Alley"...This just jumped out and too many tourists around. The second image again I heard your voices in my head.....When you see it .............Take the shot...Thanks for looking.

The first image does not speak to me, the second does.

What's the message of the first? The partially obscured view, blocked head is a dominant element.

Second is powerfully emotive. Curious about the backstory, if you know it.

I am digging the first one, always a curious space to me in a China Town setting no less! Great shot of the kitchen that you are not supposed to see! That place must come alive at night when the lights go out! Just enough reveal with the curtain pulled back to show the chef with ripped up clothes working in the mixed space of cleaning supplies and rubbish. Maybe he just wandered in through the open door? Somehow he snuck past the "loaf" in the foreground.

I like the faces in two has a strong yin-yang component.

Thank-you for the replies...I know Ben and Scott didn't dig the first image , but Kevin picked up what I was putting down. I wanted to allow the viewer to create their own story..

On the second image (For Scott)..The man on the left I photographed a few weeks ago smoking a very long cigarette, which he was on this day as well when his friend came over to chat...He sat down on a milk carton, opened his shirt and no sooner had I turned back around...I saw this image.

Thank you again....

1) Pseudo-voyeuristic
2) Decisive moment

Two rather different aspects, yet both in the vein of recognizing what was going on.
