p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · tripod collar for sigma 14mm 1.8?

Hello,
my new sigma 14mm f1.8 is about to arrive soon
i will amount it to sigma MC-11 at sony a7s .. which is little camera without "super strong" mount and tripod plate
so, i tried to find some third party tripod collar for that lens that could work with it.
anyone have any ideas for that?

thanks in advance

Your Sigma 14/1.8 is about the same weight as my 85/1.2L II (1.2 kg vs. 1.0 kg), which is the largest lens that I'd normally mount on a tripod, without a tripod mount on the lens. I'm confident that my Canon DSLR mounts would handle the Sigma 14/1.8 with no problems, but I don't know about the Sony A7-series.

When I'm worried about mounting heavier lenses that don't have a tripod foot, I use a 'long lens support' made up of Hejnar and RRS components, as shown below for my Mamiya 645 A 200/2.8 APO.

The Metabones or Fotodiox adapter have the "foot" on them. This way you mount it and it balances the lens and body much better.

I use some Samyang lenses in Canon mount and that is how I use them. I think it is significantly more stable than hanging a heavy lens off the front of the camera.

yup that's right, but Sigma MC-11 should perform better with 14mm because it's made for sigma lenses
that's why i need to use it, and why o need to find some collar for it

i need to use adopter because i will use the canon version of the lens
sigma is not going to make 14mm for e-mount

Well then, the first suggestion offered by @mbroomfield (Mike) is a complete solution.

Ok,

as long as we still looking for a good lens collar for Sigma 14mm f1.8 so we can use it with weak camera mounts such as sony a7x

i need anyone having this lens to measure the circumference of the lens "at the last part of it "towards the lens mount" and tell us exactly how many mm?

so i can find something at Aliexpress by messaging the sellers there asking them about that matter
