Travis,
Excellent with all those layers too.
Dan
Thanks Dan, I love the layers around Roan, to get to include them in this kind of sunset was a real treat.

Travis,
I saw this image as the Sony FE Images Thread and loved it. It has the CV 12/5.6 III signature on it.
Lovely light and composition. Great use of the 12mm FL combining a beautiful foreground, sky and mountains in distance.
Best,
Fred
Very kind of you Fred. the CV12 does have a particular look, trying to find scenes where it works well is still a learning experience, but this one just seemed to fit just right.

Great colours and composition and interests and processing. Great job.
Getting a great picture (herein) is a function of having the right equipment, technical skills, artistic skils, processing skills and then ---- just endless times being there for when the skys cooperate.
That's what I love about photography - its gets me there.
Thanks for posting

Hi Scott, thanks for taking the time to check it out and comment. This one was a test of patience...we had been up the hill two days earlier and didn't get much...and given the popularity of the spot, one can't expect to show up 30 minutes prior to sunset...more like 3 hours! So we were glad to get rewarded on the second attempt of the trip.

Hey Travis,
This is a very cool shot. I love it when the clouds do radiate out like that, it's such a cool look. The sky compliments the foreground nicely.
Jim
Hey Jim, good to hear from you! The clouds dispersing from the setting point of the sun was so cool, and it really played into the comp. Thanks for the feedback and comments!
