Isn't the sepia profile different than the Acros profile ?

the traditional B&W, Sepia, and the other color films modes are all based off the long standing Fuji camera files.

Acros, which is the new one, is more processor intensive, and only on the newer camera's which support it.

Acros is unique in that the grain structure and/or noise reduction, is applied differently across the images based on the exposure, so darker areas show more grain structure. This is more akin to shooting actual film and how the silver particles render.

This is also why the Acros settings done in camera look different than converting to B&W in post.

I would say if this thread is going to include non-Acros images, perhaps it should be renamed the Fuji Black and White thread and allow Acros, the other B&W profile, sepia, and perhaps other conversions done in SFX, VSCO etc

As titled, this should be an ACROS ONLY thread. Having dedicated threads helps us all see the potential.

Quick one from a recent trip to Alaska for business primarily, but have to sneak in as much other activity as possible

I'll have to figure out how to validate, but I think this was Acros + R. Resized and a very slight levels adjustment in PS.
Looks like I stripped out EXIF: Fuji X-T2, Fuji 50-140/2.8 @ 50mm, 1/1800sec, F/8, ISO 400

Excellent photo! I'm impressed by the DR in the photo, from the shadow detail in the foreground trees to the snow covered peaks.

Business took me on my first trip to Alaska last September. I didn't have much free time either. I took my little Lumix, but while I got some good photos, it just wasn't up to the task.

I'll be taking a rented X-T2 to the beach in two weeks. I'm strongly considering getting a Fuji for travel. My Canon 5D2 camera bag (I can't leave anything at home) tips the scales at ~20 pounds and I'm getting tired of the size and bulk. By contrast, my Leica M3 camera bag with a body and four lenses weighs 8 pounds.

I'm posting a color version of this to the main thread, but like this version too.

Great photos but why do you have a colored watermark on your b&w images? it makes no sense and actually takes away from the photo itself.

I will play along and post a couple. These are using the real deal, Acros 120 film shot with a Fujifilm GS670. I recently purchased the camera and took this roll to try it out. I won't claim great artistic quality on this set... just a test run. Very fun camera to shoot with.

A lot of nice photos. Most don't get near the look of Acros however. Perhaps for that we need to shoot the real thing ... Acros. Glad I have a freezer full ... and a few bottles of Rodinal.
