A member of another forum I belong to was asking and I really like my 14, but am looking to get another prime myself.
Anyone have any opinions on these three or can suggest another?
Thanks

Don't forget the 12/2.

Honestly, if you don't know, get the 10-24/4. It's excellent for landscape.

Myself, I am partial to the 23/1.4.

Like you I have the 14/2.8 and think it's excellent. I also have the 23/2 and am very pleased. I like that focal length, and it's a wonderfully sharp lens that is very well corrected in its optical design (in other words, the correction isn't happening through software). It's also one of the weather resistant ones, which might matter to you. I've never been partial to wider angles of view so 14mm is wide enough for me.

I think the 14 and 16 are too close to each other if you are looking for a second prime. Better off with one of the 23s.

I have the 16/1.4, 23/1.4, 18/2 and 27/2.8 for my WA selection. If I am doing some serious landscape/seascape shots I opt for my 16/1.4 This lens is very sharp and detailed and probably one of the best Fuji XF lenses The 23/1.4 is an excellent lens but for landscapes not as good as the 16/1.4.

Since you have the 14 and really like it, try out the 16/1.4 and compare or add the 23/1.4 to your collection

Have the 14 and 23/1.4, but for landscapes almost always reach for the 14. It's light, relatively small, and my copy is very sharp.

I have the 10-24, 16 and 23 f2. Recently I spent 4 days in Iceland photographing the landscape and usually went with the 10-24. The OIS on this lens is fantastic for lowlight (golden hour) shooting, so as a result, I never really use my 16.

The 23 f2 is a good all-around lens for lots of different types of shooting, plus it is very compact and has fast AF. It can be used for landscape shooting but I mostly use it for street photography.

I have the 14mm F/2.8 & 23mm F/2.0 and both are fantastic at everything including landscapes. The 23mm is weather sealed as a bonus when you get caught in bad weather.

Get them ALL.

I sold a bunch I hadn't used in a while and lost money. I finally just sucked it up and started buying everything again to keep. 14, 16, 10-24... I'd like to try the Zeiss 12 because I love the Zeiss 50mm macro so much.

Great lenses, good system that continually gets better.

How can you pick lenses like this? The composition you envision determines the focal length you need. That's why you need either a selection or a zoom.

All the x-mount glass can produce stellar results, especially stopped down. I mainly use the 10-24 for its versatility, though own or have owned the 14, 16, 18 and 23 as well.

I use the full range of the 10-24 too, because some scenes are best at 10mm, some at 16mm, some at 24mm. There is no one "best" focal length, its just what suits the scene and your vision for it.

A landscape lens is simply whatever lens you use to take a landscape photo with

I have a slightly different take. Similar to the discussions comparing 28mm to 35mm FOV and 50mm FOV FF. You have to find the FL that you most gravitate towards. For me personally I really like 21mm FOV and really don't like to go wider as it affects the perspective of how I perceive the landscape. There are many photographers who just love the UWA less 20mm FF.

With landscape lenses the IQ, rendering and the ability to capture fine detail is important, otherwise you end with mush. This is why I love the 16/1.4 as it is probably one of Fuji's best lenses even though it is a 24mm FOV FF.

A zoom is excellent as you can then check the exiff and see what FL you use the most and then decide which prime suits you most.
