Both are great cameras, but disagree with "the best" superlative on the D750.

Right now, with prices as they are, the D810 is "the best" value in ultra-high resolution cameras, bar none.

The D750 is a good-value, mid-level FF camera, but it's not a benchmark in anything.

The D810 is still a benchmark camera, at base ISO, and I agree with many previous posters, it will remain relevant and exceptional for a very long time to come.

are you forgetting about those keepers from the d810 before the intro of the d5 & d500?

Coincidentally...I happened to be out shooting the D810 this morning. I remember grumbling on multiple occasions regarding the D810's autofocusing compared to the D500 or D5. I did, but I returned it. I don't really need 10 fps and all the other fancy stuff. It sure was a nice camera, but I couldn't justify spending $1200 more than a D7200 when the IQ is very close.
