Welcome to the forum. I like everything across the water, but wish the foreground trees were sharper, probably motion blur.

You have three orange spots lower center that I would clone out.

Welcome to the forums, John!

You'll be better off keeping to around 1000-1200px for your pics on the longest edge - easier to view.

I agree with Ben that the foreground isn't helping your cause here. While the yellows and oranges are pleasing I personally don't find this shot particularly engaging.

As some food for thought I've put together a hasty rework below with the foreground cloned out and a more pano crop.

Looking forward to seeing more images from you!

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Thank you so much. Clearly, I see the difference between your post-processed image and mine. Long way for me to go for getting good photos.

BTW, did you use Lightroom to edit this image?

John - no problem! I'm just trying to take your message and focus it a little more - you did all the heavy lifting on this one, so don't stress about perfection so much as just pocket a few nuggets of knowledge away for the next time you're about to make the camera go click. The more you can knock out at the moment of capture the less work you'll have to do in post!

I used Photoshop for the rework, but I primarily use Lightroom myself and anything I did in that shot can be done as well in LR.

Jeff
