I was fortunate to come across this lovely nesting pair of Swallow Tanagers. In Trinidad they are an uncommon breeding migrant, mostly found 600m above sea level. They nest at the end of tunnels of dirt banks under the canopy of the dimly lit rain forest, making for very challenging low light photography. I pushed my gears to its limits, using the D500 + 200-500f/5.6 + 1.4xTCII to get these photos - resulting in high iso and very slow shutter speed, my trusty old tripod definitely helped. Thanks always for looking, your likes and your comments, I hope these are a treat to view.
regards,
Wendell
