Where's Richard Dreyfuss?!
Exaggerated food for thought below.
Love the selfie!!
Jeff
Thanks Jeff. I'm not sure I'm seeing everything you did in your edit but I like what you did there from what I can see. Edit below where I added the requested more room and tried to separate the inside from the outside more.
Yeah... I'm thinking sharing the selfie might not have been a good idea.

Dave, I didn't know you were a proctologist (A-hole examiner)
Gets my vote for "Selfie of the Year".
Imo, the mono of the bike with the tower in the BG is a sweet shot. Even the sun-flare adds to the "dried out", desolate and barren vibe. Might be worth some post to tweak it to life a bit.
Jeff, I like the treatment, but I might like to see how it plays with a bit more saturation left in the mirror (maybe split the diff).
When I read Kevin's request for a money shot I thought the selfie snap was a good ider.
Now... not so much.
What are you thinking could help the bike/tower shot? I just checked and I don't have any room left or right but I did manage to get the blazing sun in the top that I had cropped out.
Below is an edit on the mirror shot with a little more room and a few adjustments.

Oops forgot about the bike shot - really like it!
Got any room to make it a little looser?
No room on the sides. Only on the top and a little on the bottom.

Really like the selfie, reminds me a bit of Brad Pitt.
The bike shot is sweet.
I'd tell my wife the same thing but I'm thinking it wouldn't help me any.

OP ++, I think looser would have been a bit better, Jeff's tweaks improve IMO
Biking (real biking, pedaling included) friend use to wear a heart rate monitor with readout on his handlebars. Why? (you might ask). His answer: When the heart rate is zero, he knows it's time to stop pedaling.
You: Falling asleep once was your warning. You are a lucky dude.

Ha! I might need to get one of the monitors. Maybe have it wired up to zap me just for good measure.
And yes, very lucky. That scared the crap out of me and I went straight back to camp for the rest of the day.
I've never told the wife about it and don't think I ever will just in case I do another trip.
Added some room to the mirror shot and made a few adjustments. Did it help any?
