...you will have to decide who is which.

Mitesh, Geoff and I had a ball shooting in Florida. We did it on little rest and long days and all of us were ready to go home be the end of the forth day. So we dropped Geoff off at a hotel near the airport and headed home late the last day - and drove all night with Mitesh driving most of the way with me spelling him.

Both Geoff and Metish work hard for their shots, but Mitesh worked very hard getting low, and walked farther than Geoff and I. He proved he's willing to do whatever it takes to get the shots -Bravo!

I had been taking candid shots of Mitesh and Geoff, and they started doing it too. We decided to make a post of candid shots, so they will be adding shots to this post.

These shots are meant to be fun, but they also show how hard these guys work for their shots.

1 - One of these guys is poaching. LOL

2 - Art Morris getting some pointers from Geoff.

3 - Mitesh getting low, or Do these pants make my butt look big?

5 - Sometimes they don't cooperate.

6 - I don't know how anyone could get any lower.

7 - Geoff getting low.

8 - I think Geoff might have had to clone his fingers out of a lot of shots.

Ron first....great position....no idea if there is a bird over there or he was taking grass photos?

I will give Mitesh the benefit of the doubt that he was chimping and not taking Snowy Egret butt shots

Geoff, you're even worse than Ron! This is the image I was taking in the shot that looks like I'm "cowering" in fear of the snowy

That's nice...how long did it take you to clone out the egret's legs?

These are awesome and so much fun to see... great idea and post.

Pretty clear which one of you needs to be committed... I mean, is the MOST committed to get that great eye-level POV. Mitesh, you're my hero.

Once again, it looks like you guys had a great time with a ton of good memories and terrific images.

Gotta give the credit to the senior citizen of our group, Ron. This post was his idea, and honestly, I wish I would have taken a few more photos of the two of them. Photographing the birds was a lot of fun, but it wouldn't have been as much fun without these two guys. If anyone ever has a chance to meet up with either Geoff or Ron to shoot, do yourself a favor and make it happen!

P.S. Thanks, Kirk! I learned about getting low from your work at the pond

OMG! Somebody needs to tell Mitesh that his E-M1.2 has a swivel screen so you don't have to look through the VF!

This is where a picture is worth a thousand words

Personally I don't think it's fair that you can get that close to shorebirds/waders

Mitesh, are you sure there isn't any gators in there

and if so it is apparent you wouldn't have had any help but you bet Geoff would have gotten the a Holy Grail shot of you about to get chomped

Ron, thank God for adult supervision, where are you taking the 'kids' next time

Also all low POV shots rock!

Mitesh and Ron promised me there weren't any gators in the salt water.....but I was ready to take the shot if one showed up! Gators are the reason you won't see any super low angle shots from Viera or other locations we went to.

Karl,

My wife checked my life insurance policy before I left to ensure that there were no exclusions for alligator attacks. When I arrived home with a backpack full of muddy, sandy clothes, I think she may have secretly wished there had been gators in that water!!

Ron will hopefully join me to shoot bears this summer again in OBX. He promised not to slather honey on the back of my shirt this time. I just thought it was a lucky day last year when we saw so many bears....

Wow, you guys look like you had a blast ! Mitesh , I was worried about the alligators seeing you in those waters.
Just FYI, alligators can tolerate salt water for short periods of time .

Great shots from such low perspectives.

I had a feeling that they maybe could tolerate salt water so I let Mitesh get lower to become an easier target for them.
