p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · From Marsh to Mountains

Got up way too late for this area again, but very little cloud to start off with anyway. I'm beginning to think I may not need a wider lens than the XF16 F/1.4

Comments and criticisms welcome, as always.

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Another one, processed in colour, and black and white. A bonus pic of the pup that gets me out to take the photos, but gives me a hard time when I stop to snag them. Same XF16 F/1.4 lens for all. In the hands of someone who could process properly, it'd be an awesome tool.

I like the second one more than the first. The foreground is more interesting and the leading lines of the logs pull your eyes towards the mountains in the background.

Thanks Chris.

I'll have to reprocess that one a bit. My colours are off. It doesn't help that I prefer landscape/nature shots but am red-green colour blind. I really should learn to just shoot black and white effectively.

I think #2 is the winner in this batch. Beautiful spot

Thanks Robert!

I tweaked it again too. Less teal, this time.

And yeah, the whole area around here is ridiculous. This particular spot is both a 15 minute bike ride from my house, and about a 45 minute drive from downtown Vancouver BC. Whenever I take the dog for a walk here, we're often the only ones around for an hour or so, save for the wildlife. It's cathartic.

I am extremely jealous. I really need to move out west.

We moved here from Toronto just shy of three years ago. It took just two prior visits for us to come to the conclusion that we should do so.

Of course like anyone in the PNW will tell you it's extremely beautiful out west but I hope you like rain. That said, snag some WR gear and you're good to go
