Snow would have been fine as I'd simply dress warmer. Getting down is the easy part :-}

Wow you guys were getting sand-blasted Morris... looks like there's even sand building up at the base of the bill.

Yes they do and while I portrayed this as a female I suspect it is the male. It is very hard to tell them apart when they are not mating

The sand did not phase me as most of it was lower than me
