The one I'm using is as OEM as it gets (I just checked out, it's marked DSTE). It fits well and doesn't seem to be noticeably less powerful than the original one. The only discrepancy I think I'm seeing (but don't invoke that in a court of law ) is that when it goes, it goes - I cannot eke out some more juice out of it by extracting and reinserting it like I could with the original one. Memories may be a little fuzzy on this account though - it's been a while since I used a battery bone dry on a shoot, the worst I'm usually getting is some percents in the single digits left, and then I proceed to recharge it.
Disclaimer: I only got it because there was nothing else in the store, and I was incredibly short on time to get a spare battery for a long journey out to the wilds. The genuine Canon ones were double the price so I bit the bullet. 2,5 years later it holds on well - or should I say about as good as the genuine battery that came with the camera; I've noticed that I cannot usually get 1600+ shots out of a full charge anymore, the figure went to 1000ish).
