p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Sandpipers

As I looked over my work from the past year, I realized I was not getting down and dirty when it would benefit. This made me decide to take advantage of my Feisol Tripod's ability to spread its legs wide and with the Jobo Jr supporting my Sigma 150-600 Sport, Nikon D300s with SB-910 and Magmod Wildlife kit (flash extender) I find the eyepiece at just the right hight to shoot like this for hours.

These were taken at Nickerson Beach last weekend. If you do this please remember to keep both eyes open so you can see if a rogue wave is comming your way.

Way to get down and dirty Morris. Well done with the last shot standing out ~ Ron

You know me Morris, the lower the better.
Of course I love the eye-level POV in these, 1-3 are especially nice views... very well done.

Lovely captures! The low angle makes the ocean a great backdrop

Down and dirty works for these shots. The surf in the background adds a lot. Excellent set.

Love that last shot Morris and I really like how you've gotten down low on that shot.

Very nice! I especially like the last image! Are you sure you weren't half buried in the sand for images 3, 4, and 5? Your images remind me that I need to get lower on some of my images.

Thank you Bill,
6 has the advantage of being closer. Possibly I should add my TC to this setup.

Thank you Amit,

Thank you Keith,
I probably sunk into the soft and damp sand a bit though not much
