Experimenting today with new OS and AF settings on my Sigma 150-600mm C lens. Was a pretty gray and foggy day so I pushed it to the limit. This was shot at 1/100 F8 200 ISO 600mm Hand held.

Good looking image Steve. You should be able to go much slower with practice

Nicely done Steve, and I agree with Morris - you should be able to go slower ~ Ron

I didn't think I would get a sharp image at 1/100. But was trying to reduce noise and see how slow I could go. I got the ISO down to 100 on a few shots but went to f6.3 on those. Still acceptably sharp. Heron was a great static subject to test on. How slow can you go?

You will have to see. I can do 1/60 most days and get every one sharp with the sport. I've done 1/30 and even 1/15 though I need to take safety images as some will show motion blur
