Love the DOF in #1, but the last image is spectacular. I love the angle on the feet.

I've become increasing jealous of all the magnificent images of great grey owls having never seen one in the wild. And this set is very special....great lighting and poses/positions Mike.

Thanks Geoff. This was a huge year for Great Gray's in my area. This particular one was only 10 minutes from my house, so it was quite convenient.

Thanks Eric! Best of luck on finding one, it is always quite an experience. This particular owl has been extremely easy to photograph. In fact here is a picture my 7 year old son took with a Canon 6D + 70-200 2.8 +1.4xtc @98mm
