If it's truly a global shutter, then yes. But if you do any indoor sports then an non-global electronic shutter is a non-starter. It's the same with my E-M1ii, even though the rolling shutter effect is negligible it's unusable for indoor sports.
It's not a global shutter but based on Sony's description it's likely fast enough to avoid visible rolling shutter. There shouldn't be any issue with indoor lighting because the light-band artifacts you see on your Olympus are due to a slower sensor read out. But of course it remains to be seen exactly how fast this new sensor readout actually is, and also what "anti-distortion" Sony claims actually means.
