Looking for a body kit lens combo for vacation pix. Not looking to replace my Nikon kit but enhance. What y'all recommend, not a brand person. I look to photograph 75% and video 25% of the time.

Micro 4/3 with a capable kit lens for vacation...I'd lean towards either the GX85 with the 12-32mm pancake zoom (It's a surprisingly good little lens) or the E-M10 II.

I really like the Olympus OM-D E-M10 II, and you can get it with the 14-42 kit zoom for $600 right now, which is a steal. The zoom isn't quite as good as the 12-32 Panasonic, but it's not bad. You could always get the E-m10 II body only and pick up a 12-32 separately. New from a store they're a bit pricey, but you can get them on ebay split from a kit for around $150 (which is what I did).

Really liking the pany gx85. Looking to use this like a point and shoot with control. Most likely won't creat a travel kit but just keep the kit lens on.

If you are going to stick with just the kit lens, some money could be saved with M4/3 cameras that came before the GX85

Thank you all for the help, ended up with the GX85. I held the Sony and canon point and shoots and boy are they small. This is my first m4/3 camera, I know this will lead to a small kit

Okay, the wife had her say and did not like the gx85. Reason: too heavy and did not like the fact that you need to open and close the lens. Ended up with the Sony RX100III.

The RX100 series is very nice...

If the RX100 doesn't suit your taste, the Panasonic LX100 is a little chunkier, but still quite small, has a retractable lens and shoots 4K video, plus has a 4/3 sensor. Still, the RX100 is a great camera, and is truly pocketable.

+1 on the RX100 ... and you can pick up an older version for a lot less than a later version.

gm5? super tiny. interchangeable lens. comes with a 12-32 usually. I didn't know I'd like such a tiny camera until I used it.
