Mongoose, indoor swimming, outdoor swimming, swimming in general, is pretty easy to shoot once you get the hang of the swimmer's stroke cadence and breathing patterns. And, if the officials let you get into an area where you can get good shots. There are only so many variations of a stroke and start that you have to worry about, and for the most part, the race is pretty linear. Shooting open water swimming is tougher.
The issues with indoor swimming are the lighting, the refs, and parents that get in your way. The problems with outdoor swimming are the lighting (shooting into the sun), the refs, and parents that get in your way.
