p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Beechers Brook?

Today is the day of one of the most famous and formidable jump races, the Grand National at Aintree. Of all mornings, I found a fence down where a Roe Deer seems to have had had limited (1m) success in clearing the fence. Maybe, with training, next year...?

Deer EM-1, Olympus 4/3 x2 TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2. Effective aperture f9.

Damage:

EM-1, Lumix G-Vario 7-14mm at 14mm f9, hand-held.

Whitetail deer in the US can jump a fence almost 8' tall. After 25+ years, I had to replace the fence around my garden and went 9' tall. I don't like to share...

Thanks, Ron

Roe are no more than 2.5 feet tall at the shoulder. A 1.5m fence is supposed to be unjumpable.

I guess if you can't get over it, you can go through it...

Tulip flowers are his favourite food. Our only ones are in the enclosure. They were left unmolested (Bluebells outside were eaten). A headache can dull the appetite!
