Nice one Scott! I like how you can see his entire body under the water.

Do you have the pixels to go in tighter? The BG tree reflections are a bit of a distraction. Maybe something like a 16:9?

And I hate to say it but what about a mono? I wonder how that would look/work?

Dang mono people are rubbing off on me I tell ya.

thx Dave
Plenty of pixels. Not sure I cropped at all, unsure what I wanted/needed to do about the reflected vegetation. I was thinking it would look a bit sterile without.

Didn't think mono on this one, but go ahead and give a try

The underwater part makes this image. Love it. Mixed on the reflection, I can go either way.

Scott,

It pains me greatly that you didn't convert this into a super simple, yet elegant, mono version.

Please make this happen!!!

Thanks Ben.
Jeff, Sorry to cause you so much pain
I think I still prefer the warm brown head arising from the cooler water.
But I guess the consensus is the reflections should go.

After seeing the conversion I agree with you Scott. I like the color better for the separation and depth it gives. And yep, I'd loose the reflection as Jeff shows in his edit.

Ya'll are crazy!

I know I'm a broken mono record but this shot SINGS in B&W compared to color.

I don't know about Scott, but there is no doubt I have several loose screws.

I had thought mono might have looked nice but after seeing your conversion, (which is a nice one btw) I definitely prefer the color.

Mono = elegant simplicity

Especially with the faint bits showing underwater.
