Actually, there was very little noise --which I cleared with Define at the default settings. I think what is perceived as excess noise reduction is the result of a slight addition of a "glow" to the overall image. Maybe a bit overdone for display viewing but it prints well on a large fine art paper. Hope that helps and the comments are helpful.
